After two weekends of UCI racing, the MAC continues with a grass roots race organized by local team Guy’s Racing Club.
Guy’s Racing Club, sponsored by Guy’s Bicycles, is hosting the 7th annual WhirlyBird ‘Cross, a cyclocross bicycle race at Bensalem High School on Saturday, October 12th.
“Da ‘Bird” is the 5th race in the season-long, highly contested, and nationally recognized Mid-Atlantic Cyclocross (MAC) series. The race provides a fun, competitive and festive race atmosphere for all skill levels, from first-timers to pros, and there’s even a race for young kids (1:30 PM), who can use regular bikes or strider bikes.
Located on the high school grounds, the race is a great event for the whole family, with food, coffee, bike product demos, and more. Races start at 9, with the beginners, and go until 5.
Don’t have a bike?
Guy’s Bicycles will be at the race with Cannondale, showing and demo-ing some of their great products, and MAC series sponsor and Guy’s Bicycles brand Fuji will be there with some race-ready demo bikes (just bring your own pedals!).
Warm up in the Saris tent on their trainers, and take care of those nagging injuries by stopping by the Support in Motion tent, which will be demonstrating KT kinesiology tape.
